Trekking Shawl

The Trekking Shawl’s stripes and easy boomerang shaping make for a relaxing and enjoyable project. The asymmetric nature of the shaping allows the shawl to drape nicely around the shoulders, so it can be thrown on quickly to dress up any outfit when running out the door. The shape is created by an increase at the end of every forward pass and a decrease at the end of every other return pass. The design uses equal amounts of two colors. While the sample is worked in DK weight yarn, any weight from fingering to worsted will work, and the length can be adjusted to accommodate the maker’s preference.
