I selected Rows 2 through 6, then right-clicked and chose Insert. That moved the values from Rows 2 and 3 (the numbers 6 through 10 and 11 through 15) down that many rows so that they are now in Rows 7 and 8. Rows are always added above the selection, so everything shifts down.

You can also insert a column or row by right-clicking in a single cell that’s in that row or column and choosing Insert from the dropdown menu. Excel won’t know whether you want to insert a cell, row, or column, so it will show you the Insert dialogue box.
