Sous Vide Beer Brined Pork Shoulder

Beer makes the perfect brine when it comes to cooking up a delicious pork shoulder for a party or tailgate.

Servings: 8

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 12 to 20 hours

Ingredients

2 lbs. pork shoulder meat, removed from the bone

6 cups craft beer, like Brooklyn Lager

1 teaspoon brining salt

Directions

Preheat sous vide water bath to 165°F.

Add all ingredients to a large Ziploc bag.

With the top of the Ziploc bag open, carefully submerge the bag into the bottom of the water bath, without allowing any water into the bag itself.

Carefully seal the bag.

Cook for 12 to 20 hours.

Transfer pork from bag to a plate and pull apart with forks or slice for sandwich meat.
