Europe uses both SECAM and PAL at a resolution of 720×576 at 25 frames per second in both the 4/3 and 16/9 formats. But not everything is so easy. Within the so-called HD format, there are four configuration options based on the number of pixels making up an image and the way they are reproduced. In the immediate future, the industry plans to standardize screens with two resolutions: the first, HD at 1280×720 pixels, representing a total of 921,600 pixels per shot, and the second, Full HD at 1920×1080, totaling more than two million pixels, or two megapixels.
