Chapter Nine

Alex woke to the sound of men’s voices. He looked around Oliver’s bedroom, at his computer desk, dresser and matching highboy, his posters of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Curt Cobain.

Since there was only one bathroom in the cottage, Alex checked Oliver, who was still sleeping. The clock read seven and their first class started at nine, so they had some time yet to sleep.

Alex rolled off the bed and picked his briefs up off the floor, slipping them on. He opened the bedroom door to see Sgt. Billy Sharpe wearing his dark LAPD SWAT uniform with three white chevrons clearly displayed on his shoulders.

When Alex emerged, both Angel and Billy stopped talking to stare at him.

“I’m sorry, Alex. Did we wake you?” Angel asked.

“It’s okay. I had to pee.” Alex touched Billy’s broad chest. “Nice.”

Billy’s eyes widened in surprise. “Thanks.”

“I love a man in uniform.” Alex rested against Billy’s body, feeling the Kevlar vest. He moved back and rapped at it with his knuckles. “Jesus, you really need that thing?”

Billy was too stunned to reply.

Angel rolled his eyes. “Yes, Alexander, Billy needs to wear a bulletproof vest on duty. Go.” He nudged Alex to the bathroom. “Weren’t you on your way to take a piss?”

“Got sidetracked.” Alex bit his lip as he ogled Billy. “You leaving or still haven’t had your coffee yet?”

“Go.” Angel prodded him.

When Alex entered the bathroom and shut the door, he heard Billy say, “Holy shit.”

“I know,” Angel answered. “Willpower, Sgt. Sharpe.”

Alex grinned wickedly, holding his dick over the toilet. “It’s so fucking easy.” He washed his hands and face at the sink, using an available brush to run through his long hair, standing back to assess the result. He gave himself a sly smile and exited the bathroom.

Angel and Billy were in the kitchen sipping coffee. Alex sauntered over.

“Why don’t you put your jeans on, Alex?” Angel said.

“Why?” Alex pushed his pelvis out seductively. “Too enticing?”

“Motherfucker!” Billy’s cheeks went red.

“Alexander.” Angel crossed his arms. “I thought you and my son were exclusive.”

“We are. I’d never cheat on Oliver. I love him.” Alex opened up a cabinet, looking for a coffee mug. Angel retrieved one for him. As Alex filled his cup from the pot, he stared at Billy who was unsuccessfully trying not to stare back. “I can still admire handsome men, can’t I?”

“Admire or seduce?” Angel asked.

“Seduce?” Alex gasped. “Me?” He smiled at Billy’s blush as he replaced the coffeepot. “Got milk, copper?”

Billy jumped to his feet and removed the carton from the fridge. Alex held out his cup as Billy poured, watching this big bold sergeant’s hands tremble. Christ, I love this.

“What time is your class this morning?” Angel asked.

“Nine.” Alex sipped his coffee. “Thank you, Sgt. Sharpe.”

“Go get some clothing on, will ya?” Billy moaned as he put the milk into the fridge and sat down again.

“Am I distracting you that much?” Alex blinked, pretending to be shocked. He looked down at himself as if he were trying to assess his own appeal.
