Chapter 15

I felt like such a lame, as I sat behind the wheel of my car, while it was parked in the parking garage. I’d just come back from dropping my kids off to Ms. Chardae.

I’d talked all this shit about needing a break but couldn’t find anything to do with the time on my hands. I’d literally called all my friends and they were all tied up with work. I could’ve pulled up on my mama…if Will hadn’t made visiting there an issue. Hell, I even called my sister and she didn’t answer.

So, I didn’t know what to do with myself, as I realized that I really had nothing going on in my life. I actually missed working downtown, renting out the scooters. At least then, there was a constant hustle and bustle. It definitely beat doing nothing any day of the week.

Sitting there, I thought about my life, until it dawned on me. Will hadn’t called my phone in nearly a week. He hadn’t texted, neither. Him backing off probably was for the best, but it didn’t feel good, right then. Suddenly, I felt insignificant in everybody’s world, as everybody was seemingly moving on. Including Romeo.

I felt so stupid after having sex with Romeo, and then watching him dip. Since then, he hadn’t been back to the apartment, and Ms. Chardae had mentioned that he’d been stopping by her house to see the kids. She’d been keeping the kids all week, so there was no need for Romeo to come over. And he hadn’t.

Through IG, I was able to see that he was spending plenty of time with Jess. Apparently, he made room for quality time for her on the daily, and it looked like they were living together, which I didn’t realize initially. So, I could only assume that he was putting me into a box that I didn’t want a part of.

I wasn’t about to be the bitch he had tucked away, while he lived his life publicly with someone else. Hell, no. Nor was I gonna cause any drama. If he wanted to be with Jess, then I was accepting that, and keeping my legs closed in the process.

Maybe I needed to take this time to get my shit together, for real. Do something with myself. But first, I wanted to clarify that it was truly safe for me to do so. I wanted to know where Will’s head was at. That’s why I decided to call him.

Sitting there, my lashes fluttered, as I listened to his phone ring. Eventually, his voicemail picked up, and the back of my neck grew hot. Of course, I hung up and called right back, only to get the same results. He wasn’t answering.

Will

“Wait, baby, wait,” Tamia panted, as I hit it from the back.

Standing on my knees, I was fucking her hard, giving her that angry dick. She was clutching the sheets, so I knew that I was digging in deep, and she could barely handle it.

For weeks, she’d been crying, begging for attention, and today I’d finally decided to give it to her.
