Creme de la Creme

1-pint heavy cream

1-pint whole milk

1 stick of vanilla bean

¼ teaspoon cinnamon (ground)

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (ground)

Pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. Combine the all-purpose flour with baking powder, salt, and sugar in a food processor.

2. Add in the sliced butter with vegetable oil. Slowly pour in ice-cold water while mixing all the ingredients. When it starts to have a dough-like consistency, remove it from the food processor and cover with plastic wrap. Let it sit in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

3. Take the dough out of the fridge and roll it in a floured surface. It should be as thin as possible.

4. Using a biscuit cutter, cut the dough to your desired shape. Then place it in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Poke 7 holes with even spaces in each dough. Bake in an oven at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the crackers turn golden brown.

6. Once fully baked, remove from the oven and immediately brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.

Creme de la Creme:

1. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and whole milk.

2. Add in the vanilla bean pods together with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

3. Stir until bubbles start to appear.

4. Serve with the crackers on the side.
