Example 8.1 A Half-Fraction of the 24 Design

We first demonstrate how JMP may be used to create a fractional factorial design.

1. Select DOE > Screening Design.

2. Double-click the Response Name Y and change it to Filtration.

3. Enter 4 in the field next to Continuous and click Add.

4. Double-click the names of the factors X1 through X4 and change them to Temperature, Pressure, Conc., and Stir Rate, respectively.

5. Click Continue.

6. Select the 8 run Fractional Factorial design (without blocking).
