Sunlight filtered in through the cracks of the curtains, making me squint from the brightness. Warmth hit my palms when I stretched my arms out. With a frown, I sat up and saw that I was the meat in a sexy sandwich. Caleb and Kit on my right and Julian and Zane on my left, still deep in sleep. They all looked so peaceful in sleep, even Zane. The frown that was usually on his face was gone, replaced by complete serenity.

My stomach ached from the pressure on my bladder. Before I made a move to get out of bed, though, Zane’s sleepy eyes met mine. He blinked, trying to wake himself up before climbing out of the bed. He walked to the end of the bed, grabbed my ankles and tugged me to the end without disturbing the others. With shaking hands, I held the blanket slightly over my head as Zane dragged me so I didn’t pull the blanket with me. My eyes widened with shock but I mouthed “thank you” and rushed to the en suite bathroom.

The cold tile floors hit my bare feet, waking me up quicker than a cup of coffee. I made quick work of using the bathroom, showering and grabbing a pair of clothes from the bag Zane must have brought in while I was showering. That should creep me out, right? So why didn’t it?

My black skinny jeans hugged my hips and the dark purple blouse I picked was loose and flowing with short sleeves and a v neck that showed off just a smidge of cleavage. Coffee, I needed coffee. My belly grumbled. Ok and breakfast.

I slipped on a pair of fuzzy hot pink socks, cause why not? And walked out of the bathroom. A cloud of steam followed behind me, making me giggle.

“Morning, beautiful.” Caleb said, letting his eyes rove over me. Kit was nowhere to be found, but Julian and Zane were still here and freshly showered and dressed like I was. Caleb was in the same clothes from last night, obvious by the amount of wrinkles in his black shirt.

Zane and Julian were discussing something while munching on bacon, and once I saw the bacon, I dashed over to the waiting food trolley. There was bacon, eggs, pancakes and coffee. Ah, the elixir of life. Ignoring the food, I grabbed a mug and filled it to the brim with the dark black liquid. Julian grimaced when I took a sip. I plopped down on a chair, and let out a sigh of relief when the warm tonic flooded my system.

“No cream or sugar?” Caleb asked, fake gagging, when I shook my head. The heat from the coffee warmed my icy fingers, so I took another sip and finally grabbed a piece of bacon, taking small bites. Coffee in one hand, bacon in the other. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

The door opened, and Kit sauntered in, a small smile on his face. Beads of water flying through the air when he ran his hand through the wet locks.
