Time: Five to Ten Minutes

Warm-Up: Begin in a seated position and warm up the face muscles by having the kids smile, frown, look surprised, widen their mouths, and wiggle their ears. Invite them to make different faces, noticing the muscles they use. Then begin a flow of poses (see vinyasa 1, this page).

Time: Approx. Five Minutes

Connect: Balloon bumping. Send one balloon around your circle of children several times. Each time the balloon goes around, ask the children to use one set of muscles only to pass the balloon along (e.g., they can only use their biceps for one round, then their abdominals, then their gluteus maximus). Encourage them to keep the balloon from touching the floor as it goes around.
