Chapter 9

Cre sat in the office, placing money in his money machine. “five hundred thousand.” He read the screen before grabbing his weekly profit and putting a rubber band on it. He nodded his head to the music playing through the club before looking out the window at the crowd. The newest dancer Rosè was putting on a show, and niggas was loving it. Money rained all over her body, stealing some of the shine from the other woman. He could see the jealousy on the women faces and smirked shaking his head. He watched as Rosè climbed to the top of the pole, doing a split in the air while clapping her ass on the pole as she went down. The crowd was eating it up.

“That’s your money maker,” Cre commented to Dutch, who was standing at the glass eyeing Rosè. He nodded his head at Cre’s remark without taking his eyes off her. He was trying to make sure nobody stepped out of line or even touched her the wrong way. He hit the jackpot with her, and every Saturday, she came through for three hours and shut shit down, leaving out with over twenty thousand dollars. But the crowd she brought with her, made an influx in revenue. She was their cash cow, and she wasn’t too difficult. She made it clear the day Dutch hired her that he wouldn’t regret it. Her only request was he personally make sure nobody touched her.

“They need more singles. Cre your girlfriend here.” Ali said while walking into the office, giving Bou the stack of money. He quickly counted through the hundred dollar bills before giving Ali the money. “Dutch, imma have Tamar drive me home,” Ali stated before walking out the door. Dutch peeled his eye off of Rosè, ready to give Ali his attention, but she was gone in the window. He looked to EZ who through his hands up, Bou just shook his head while letting out a chuckle. He was aware of Ali’s infatuation with Tamar. The three of them looked at Cre, whose eyes were planted on Ali and Tamar talking by the bar. Cre wrote his count on a piece of paper before walking out of the office and down the stairs. The feel of her soft hands around his wrist was like shackles. He stopped in his track, and she wrapped her arms around his torso before leaning into his ear. “Stop cockblocking.” She said while flashing him a smile. Cre chuckled while looking over at his baby sister and best friend once more before Josie threw his hand over her shoulder. He pulled her into a hug before stepping back and admiring the brown skintight Dominatrix jumpsuit by GSuwoo that exposed under her breast and her belly.

“Yo, you coming to my section. Cause niggas gotta know who when they see you, see me. Cause I’m catching bodies for you.” Cre stated seriously, making Jo laugh. He led her up to the section, and you couldn’t tell Jo she wasn’t Beyoncé at that moment.
