Adler and Austin led the conversation all through dinner, talking about everything from snowboarding and surfing to life and the environment, leaving out the two taboo topics, politics and religion. After dinner, they dropped Adler off at the Olympic Village. Rory climbed out with her.

"A car will be here in the morning to get you and the rest of the riders for the photo shoot for On The Edge magazine. There will also be a photographer at the first practice session of the day, shooting pictures for our website and a few other promotional options."

"Sounds good."

"I'll see you at qualifying or right after that depending on the crowd. Tell Cason I said hello when she gets here."

Adler nodded. "I like her," she winked, nodding in Austin's direction.

"Me too." Rory smiled and got back into the SUV.

As they headed back to the hotel, Austin starred out the window at the snow-covered city streets, wondering why Mathias had been with them the entire evening. He'd sat at a nearby table at dinner and got in and out of the vehicle with them at every stop. She turned towards Rory who was sitting across from her.

"Is he going to be with us the entire time we're here?" Austin asked, tilting her head in Mathias's direction.

Rory smiled. "I had him tag along for security since I was taking one of the Olympians out of the village. Security is tight around team USA."

"I see. Thank you for a wonderful day. I really enjoyed seeing the Olympic Park today, and Adler Troy is pretty cool too."

"You're welcome, mate. I'm glad you had a nice day. I've gotten to know her since I met her in Aspen a few weeks ago. She's fun to be around and she's a damn good snowboarder too! Just wait until tomorrow."

"I'm looking forward to it."

Rory spoke to Mathias briefly, before walking inside the resort behind Austin. The elevator took them swiftly up to their floor and Rory stepped off, peeling her jacket from her shoulders.

"You want some hot chocolate?"

"Sure, can I change first?"

Rory chuckled. "What do you think I'm about to do?" she replied, opening her door. "You can go through my room if you want to."

Austin walked through the separating door and Rory quickly changed into black warm-up pants and a white hooded sweatshirt with her company logo on the front. She made two mugs of hot chocolate and stepped out onto the balcony. Austin stepped outside, walking up to the rail next to Rory. Ironically she was dressed similarly in dark blue warm-up pants and a white Roxy sweatshirt. Rory handed Austin a warm mug, smiling at their similar attire.

"Have you been in my suitcase?" Austin giggled.

"I was about to ask you the same question there, mate."

"Your accent is adorable." Sexy is more like it, but I know how skittish you are.

Rory felt her cheeks blush. Luckily, it was dark and Austin couldn't see the shy grin on her face.

"Yeah, yeah. Drink your hot chocolate before it gets cold.
