CHAPTER THREE

VEGAS

Oh my god! I fucking killed him! I killed a man! I’m going to jail for the rest of my life. They’ll never fucking believe me. I know how this works.

The vibration of the weapon is still zinging around my body as the dead man lays limp on top of me. What the hell have I done?

“You fucking bitch! You killed Don!” The other man screams out at me. I push Don off and get ready to run but instead of the man being able to get his weapon out something hits him hard on the back of the head and the same man I saw in the bar is standing in front of me. I can’t see his face because of a bandana he has covering everything below his eyes but I see those eyes. Those bright blue eyes have already been seared into my memory.

Did he follow me? Maybe Drix sent him in case these two didn’t finish the job. He didn’t kill him so it means he must know him. He saw me kill his friend, he’s going to take me somewhere, torture and kill me himself.

“They’ll be more, if you want to live come with me,” His voice is like smooth velvet, deep but soft at the same time. Alisson might have been tricked by Drix but I won’t be. I raise the gun before I even lift myself off the floor and fire at his feet.

“Get the hell away from me!” I snap at him, forcing myself to use only my legs to get up. He jumps back pulling his own weapon out.

“You fucking crazy bitch! I’m trying to fucking help you and you shoot at me! Fuck this, you’re own your on.” He backs away from me shaking his head.

Yeah right. Why the fuck will he help me? He doesn’t know me. He’s almost to the opening of the alley when the man he knocked out starts to groan. I look down for a second and his vest catches my eye. On the back is a fucked up looking fly and the word Sandfly MC stitched into the leather. That’s not the same one on my blue eyed man’s vest. I don’t think. I squint my eyes back at him and see the words Burnt Crows. If it’s two different groups, maybe they’re not working together.

“Wait!” I put the gun down slightly.

“Fuck that.” He growls back.

“I’m sorry… I thought you were with them… I don’t know what to do with this. Please help me.” I call for him again.

He stops moving and looks behind me. “Shit, keep it pointed away from you and come to me. Fast.”

This time when he orders me to come I do. The gun is heavy in my hand and dropping it on the ground isn’t an option. I’d hate for it to go off and hurt someone else. When I get to the man with the Burnt Crows vest on he takes the gun out of my hand and grabs it at the same moment.
