PENNE TOMATO ANYTHING

“An easy dish you can throw together when you have no

idea what you wanna do for dinner. Veggie version here,

feel free to add any protein. Simple and delicious! Just

double the recipe for twice the people.”

2 servings

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Chef knife & cutting board

12” nonstick skillet

3 quart saucepan

(1) 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes

1/4 cup red onion, diced

1/4 lemon, juiced

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tablespoon oil

1 cup penne pasta

Salt and pepper to taste

In your nonstick skillet, add the oil, garlic, and

onion on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the can of

crushed tomatoes and some salt and pepper, bring to a

boil then reduce to a simmer. That’s it! It’s not gourmet, it’s

Kelby Ray!

While that cooks for a bit, grab your 3 quart

saucepan and bring about 2 quarts of salted water to a

boil. Add the pasta and cook for 5-8 minutes until it’s al

dente (just tender enough to take a bite out of). Toss it on a plate and serve hot! I think I may have made this for dinner

for my now wife the first time I came over to make dinner.

Obviously it was a hit. Add some wine and a candle, you

never know what might happen!

COOKIN’ WITH KELBY QUICK TIP!

Two ways to peel garlic without hating life: 1) Smash a garlic

clove with the side of your knife, the skin will peel right off! 2) Put a whole garlic bulb in a bowl, cover with a plate or identical size bowl and shake. The skin will come right off the cloves!
