Run a malware test every month on your server hard drive

Your antimalware software is "on" all the time the computer is on. But, it tends to skip steps sometimes so it can run faster. Once a month, bring up your antimalware software and click on "Computer Scan" (or whatever your software requires).

Turn off server CD/DVD and USB boot capability

A rogue employee or rogue relative who has physical access to your server can take over your server by inserting a boot DVD or USB device the rebooting the server. UEFI (BIOS) allows you to turn those options off.
