Apply tape around the edges of the cardboard heart. Lay this heart, tape side up, on the paper heart. Roll the paper slits over the edges of the cardboard to stick to the tape. CREATE THE CARD

Cut long strips from different paper prints in varying widths. Position the strips on the front of the folded card, overlapping the edges slightly.

Glue the strips in place. When they’re dry, trim edges to match with the edges of the card.

Use a marker to draw faux stitches around the edges of the strips.

Glue the heart to the front of the card.
