Dear Mac,

Really? You want to bring the boys down too? I would be happy to have them come! Um, that means I’m going to have to get my hands on two beds for them ASAP, but that shouldn’t be too hard. If anything, the local UPS guy knows my address as well as his own, he’s been making all sorts of deliveries on the things that I’m either too busy to try and hunt down here in Saint Cloud, or there’s just nobody in Saint Cloud who has it.

Like seriously, how hard is it in a town of twenty thousand people to find a store that sells a proper hammock? So getting a couple of beds and mattresses delivered will be easy.

On that note, I’d love to hear about what the boys like. Even though I’ve moved out, I obviously still have full access to the Cloud 9 ranch. Do the boys ride horses, or maybe they would like to take a ride on an ATV? Or swim? The lake at the ranch isn’t exactly the beach or anything, but I guarantee you that jumping in after a hard workout or just after some time in the sun feels amazing. We can get some floats, whatever.

Anyway, if you have any ideas for what the boys might like to do, I’m happy to hear them.

The new game’s going to be dropping soon, and I’m looking forward to it. This summer has been one heck of a ride, not only with the move but also with the quick expansion for our game, and more. Knowing that our new product is going to drop soon feels great. Of course there’s always a new project on the horizon, and when we can meet up face to face I’ll be happy to tell you what I can. Shhh, super-secret video game intel here!

Thank you for telling me about your recent work as well. It’s fun to talk shop with you, even if it’s sometimes water-cooler talk. That’s just normal, though, and good stress relief. I know that it’s hard working with some clients, and that a few of them just can’t quite grasp that search engine optimization doesn’t mean spamming keywords into the page. But I think you handled it well, and as professionally as possible.

Please let me know when you want to do this as soon as possible so I can make the arrangements. I think the idea of a cool little “end of summer” vacation for the boys will be good for all three of you. I know that it’s been just over a month since you left Saint Cloud … and that’s a month too long to go without seeing you.

So I hope you won’t mind that as much as I’ll enjoy meeting your boys and getting to know them, I would like to have at least one evening for us to spend together. Um, on that regard … do the boys understand what you and I are sort of looking at doing? A little advice there would be helpful too, just so I don’t step where I’m not welcome.
