Weâre almost to the car when Vivianna stops me. âOh, I forgot. Iâll meet you at the car,â she tells me, before darting back inside the house. I round the mansion and find my car safely tucked away. I climb inside and start it while waiting for Vivianna. She finally appears with two bottles of either wine or champagne in her hands and a bag of chips. I have to laugh, because that combination seems ridiculous, yet fitting for her. I watch as she makes her way toward me, the sway of her curvy hips, the shine of her chestnut-colored hair. Sheâs so damn beautiful that it hurts to look at her. Vivianna makes her way to my door and I roll down my window, giving her a puzzled look. âSomething wrong?â
âIâm driving,â she states, like itâs a fact.
Iâm sure my eyebrows disappear into my hair. âWhat?â
âDid I stutter?â she asks, with a smile on her face.
âOkay, Firecracker. Iâm not sure Iâm comfortable with you driving my car,â I tell her.
She laughs. âOkay, first of all you donât even know where we're going. Second of all, I can just hotwire one of my fatherâs babies if youâd rather.â My mouth falls open with that admission. How and why in the hell does she know how to hotwire a vehicle? Vivianna reaches forward with one of her soft, delicate hands and pushes my chin back up into place. âDonât look so shocked, Luca. I did just pick a lock to get into my fatherâs office, do you really think Iâm above hot wiring a car to get the hell away from here?â
I shake my head. Iâm kind of in awe of her in this moment. When you see, Vivianna, you assume sheâs going to be weak, but she is so far from it. âNo, I wouldnât put it past you, although I may be curious as to how you have this certain skill set.â
She smirks and shrugs. âA girlâs gotta do what a girls gotta do. Now, get out.â
I laugh and open the door. âCan you drive a standard?â
Vivianna rolls her eyes. âOh please. I promise I wonât hurt your baby.â I get out of the car and she shoves the bottles and a bag of chips in my hands as she slides into the driverâs seat. I send up a quick prayer. âYou know youâve got to get in the car, Handsome.â
I chuckle and make my way around to the other side. The engine is already roaring to go. Iâm barely able to get my seat belt on before Vivianna starts maneuvering through the parked cars. I hold my breath while hoping for the best. Once we reach the gates of the estate without any incident, I take a deep breath. Surprisingly enough, sheâs a pretty good driver. âYou want some music?â She nods her head yes. I lean over and turn on the radio. Luke Bryan comes on singing about stripping it down. I have a moment where I
