Laptops come with either a glossy or a matte finish. A gloss finish usually improves perceived contrast. That means images, movies and games will look brighter and more colorful. Matte displays don’t have this benefit, but they reduce or eliminate distracting reflections. This makes document editing and web browsing more pleasurable. There’s no easy answer here.
