The main part of the payload bay (see Figure 7-7) is also pretty standard. The only exception is the plug at the bottom of the payload bay. I could not find a nose plug for a BT-80 body tube, so I cut the top off of a nose cone and epoxied a ″ piece of balsa across the top to make my own. The finished plug was epoxied into the payload tube. I used epoxy because I wanted a very strong joint, but did not want to put too much of the nose cone in the payload tube—only about ″ of plastic was actually in the payload section.
