We are human and will experience grief and loss on this side of eternity, but we are not limited to our human responses or understanding of how to handle these complicated issues. We have the God of breakthrough, who gives us keys to understand and to live in a higher way when we face grief and loss.

BREAKTHROUGH PROPHECY

Part of the nature of God being the breaker relates to waterways. Water goes past its normal banks and floods into areas where it normally would never go; it creates waterways where there were no pathways. God is going to break through in your grief and loss situation for you and where people who don’t know God are limited to either breaking or to having a normal human resolve of dealing with the pain of these situations. You are going to have the nature of the breaker working deeply within you. He will take impossible pain away from you. He will absorb the sting of death because He has already paid the price on the cross. He will cause His love to go into places that feel like they can’t ever be healed. You won’t have to live with the condition that grief is your identity.

Jesus Himself said, “Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.” This comfort is real, and when you are mourning loss, like the death of a loved one, He will bring a different comfort that is deeper than what your mind can comprehend.

It will be God’s spirit working deeply within your spirit, which affects all other aspects of you. There will be a peace where there should have been a hole. There will be sustenance where there should be pain.

God will take away the abandonment that comes to everyone when someone they love dies. He will create an opportunity for you that will go beyond just filling an empty place or distracting loneliness. He will create inside of you a newness. He will be with you as you process your hurt. He will renew your heart to allow love to grow more. What you thought could never happen again will shock you as He brings new love that grows from the seedbed of the old relationship.

For those who lost people who they know went to heaven, He will comfort you by not allowing you to feel they are on pause or gone but that they are still part of your every day as they pray with Jesus over everyone they left behind. Until Jesus returns, they will be part of your cloud of witnesses, praying that no opportunity of God’s love is missed in your life. They will be your divine soccer mom, making sure all of heaven knows how important you are and that you get every opportunity even if it seems unlikely for you.

For those who lost someone for whom they have no assurance over their eternal salvation, God wants you to cast that burden on Him. You don’t know the thousands of ways God revealed His love to them while they were on Earth.
