CHAPTER NINE
Snooty sat in the broken down house that he was renting, smoking a blunt. The twenty-eight inch TV was on, but he wasnât paying attention to what was playing. Instead, he was thinking about how to get back at Martinez, Kenji, and Enzo.
He felt like they ruined his life. In his eyes, they did him wrong. Itâs been a few years, and he was still holding that grudge. Just because he didnât agree with Kenji and Enzo taking over, Martinez made it hard for him. He was always coming out the side of his neck with bullshit.
When Snooty basically got kicked out BBM, he moved away. He wasnât doing nothing, though. He managed to steal a brick from Martinez before he left. He used that to set up shop and get his money up.
He moved to Columbia, South Carolina with his cousin, Walter, and flipped that brick. It didnât take long for him to find a plug. Once he did, it was on and popping from that point on. Snooty was getting a little money; enough to survive. But it wasnât the type of money he made with Kenji and Enzo.
Sometimes he thinks about how stupid he was to let his ego get in the way of his money. Regardless of who was in charge, his money didnât change. Well, it did change when Kenji and Enzo took over. He was making way more money. Thatâs all that should have mattered, but a manâs ego is a hell of a drug.
Snooty wasn't a small corner boy; he was near the top. That was partially the issue. He and Martinez were real cool, so he thought once he retired that he would have at least got second in command to one of the veterans. But no, he gave it to some kids that came right off the street. True, Martinez was the best, and he trained them, but Snooty didnât think it was right.
Snooty found out they were the lilâ boys robbing niggas. Usually, Martinez would have them murdered, but instead, he took them under his wing. That was some bullshit in Snootyâs eyes.
Snooty has done his research over the years. It seemed like Martinez was on to something when he let those little niggas take over. From what the streets say, Kenji, and Enzo worked their asses off, and everyone is making triple of what they made when Martinez was in charge. Snooty didnât know what they did differently, but the fact that these young boys came in and made things better. That was supposed to be him, and now he was ready to take what he felt he owed.
He didnât like the fact that some little boys in their twenties is doing better than his thirty-five year old ass. Snooty was still staring at the TV when his cousin walked into the house with food.
âI got you something to eat, nigga. You going to need your energy if we going to go up against these niggas. You have
