Daniel laughed, grasped the king so he wouldn’t go in, and he said, “Look at the pavement and observe closely whose footsteps these are.”
The king said, “I see the footsteps of men, women, and children.”
Then the king got angry and he took the priests with their wives and children, they showed Daniel and the king the secret doors where they had come in and eaten all the things that were on the table.
Therefore, the king slayed them, and he delivered Bel into Daniel’s power. Daniel destroyed Bel and his temple.
