Contradiction

In contradiction phase, we face preparations on operations where rules for team work are set, individual tasks and obligations are divided, a network of cooperation is created, and specific requirements for communication and cooperation between individual team members occur. This leads to problems, disagreements, opposition between individual team members or team manager, rejection of certain functions and tasks, etc. In this phase, some things need to be changed; if this is not possible, certain team members or even team manager need to be replaced.

Agreement

If contradiction phase was successful, rules of work are synchronised and set, co-workers have suitable roles, and contracts on cooperation, where mutual obligations for the time of the project are set in detail, may be signed.

Execution

In the phase of preparing the project, work is done in accordance with the work plan and according to all rules of team work that enable successful work. It is most important to assure constant monitoring of the project, and to act as soon as deviations occur. It is also very important to solve all problems or even conflicts which occur between co-workers in team, and to help co-workers who have problems or have lost motivation for work.

Concluding

Final phase of the project is very important because the team separates after the project and co-workers need new assignments. Some stay in the system, which is upgrading the project, and others may work on a new project or find a new job. It is very important that all obligations to team members are paid, that possible disputes are solved, any unfinished businesses or bad feelings resolved, and that good relationships remain for the future.

Final activities also have to be documented in detail. Experienced project workers recommend concluding a project with a meeting at a picnic, lunch or dinner.

3.4.4.2. Project Communication Design

Communication is a bilateral process of information transfer between project attendees. Precondition for successful communication and success of projects lies in good relationships as terminating relationships represents an interference of works on a project. Suitable relationship needs to be established with co-workers and the customer, which enables normal cooperation, communication and transfer of information. People behave in different ways (types of communication) and this affects relationships.

Quite commonly, processes are oriented into one direction because we do not take the time or there is no time. We should listen to people and talk to them. Verbal and non-verbal communication is important and they are often not synchronised.

A good project manager has to be capable of determining what the other person is thinking or when he is pretending (thinks or believes one thing and says something else). It is very important that we are sovereign, believe in the project, and have a genuine wish of implementing it.

People need a chance to share their opinions, suggestions need to be synchronised and confirmed, and we always have to check if all attendees understand a specific topic (repeating).
