Bucaille comments:There can be no doubt that this verse indicates the possibility men will one day achieve what we today call (perhaps rather improperly) ‘the conquest of space’.

There can be some doubt, especially as the conquerors of space were all non-Muslims, and no trace has yet been found of the presence of jinns on Mars or the Moon. But Bucaille confidently chalks up the prediction of space travel to the Quran. In another example, Bucaille quotes God, referring to the unbelieving Meccans of Muhammad’s day:Even if we opened unto them a gate to Heaven . . . they would say: our sight is confused as in drunkenness. (Quran 15:14-15; Bucaille, p. 169)
