Another one is:

What do you call a famous detective who is also an estate agent?

Sherlock Homes!

Another funny thing I like is practical jokes. I do tricks sometimes. Like once I put fake scratches on Chris’s car and he thought it was real. And once I put trick soap in the bathroom which made my Mum’s face all black, and she didn’t know why I was laughing. I have tricked people, including Ken Kerr, with fake biscuits as well. Ken Kerr took two and he thought they were a bit off at first. This was good fun. And I love Peter Sellers films. These are hilarious. Clowns are fun. I can do some quite funny clown acts myself.

Reading is not work at all for me – it is one of my very favourite things to do in the world. I read an awful lot and I read very quickly as well. When I was tested my reading age was 17, which was very unusual.

When I first started school the other kids were learning how to read but I already knew how. I had already discovered how when I was very young. The teacher was teaching us very easy words like ‘Look, Book’. I didn’t understand why she was doing this, because I didn’t realise reading was so different for me. I had already read some really good books, like the Narnia Chronicles before I went to school. I have read them stacks of times since then. I love the Narnia Chronicles. C.S. Lewis is one of my favourite authors.

Reading was one of the few good things about primary school. I used to read all the books very quickly. Sometimes the teacher gave me extra reading to do. Sometimes she wanted me to answer comprehension questions on it, but I didn’t because it was boring and pointless and I hate doing boring, pointless things. The teacher tried to get me to write and answer questions about some things the same as the other kids. But I didn’t want to so I refused.

While I was at the Steiner School I read tons of books. One of my very favourite books then was ‘Danny, the Champion of the World’ by Roald Dahl and Jacinta let me read this over and over.

Up on the wall Jacinta had a list with all the children’s names and the books from the school library that they had read. I had read them all so here is what she put for me:

Name – Kenneth.

Books read – Every book!
