CHAPTER 17

I need to see it

Skal had never needed anything so badly in his life. Every scale on his arms and tail was screaming to finally see the treasure that was his, that he would soon claim. His mating appendage was now a stone-hard prong. Even the horns crowning his head seemed to be aching and throbbing with arousal.

His tiny human lay on the rock, water leaving her body in thin rivulets. Her skin, soft and softly furred, looked like a peach flecked with morning dew.

She was so fucking beautiful it hurt.

The only thing now separating his gaze from that soft thing he had touched between her thighs were the flimsy strips of that damnable grass skirt.

Before, he had felt a mild annoyance toward that primitive covering. That annoyance had now matured into raw hate.

He hated anything that came between him and his treasure.

The dragon man growled from deep in his chest.

“Skal?”

His atma’s voice was still weak and trembling from the paroxysms of pleasure she had endured under his fingers. But Skal hardly registered her voice, just as he hardly heard the splashing of the waterfall resounding through the chamber.

All of it was erased by the roar of the blood in his ears, and the screaming need in his egg sacs.

With clawed fingers, he gripped that grass skirt that had now become his mortal enemy.

“Skal!”

He ignored her cries. He didn’t even hear them in his frenzy of lust. With a single, swift motion, he ripped her dress of rushes, tearing it as easily as tissue paper.

The little human squeezed her legs together and twisted her hips, trying to hide her special place from his hungry eyes.

But Skal’s need would not be denied.

He clutched her knees and easily pried her legs apart. Hungry, grunting sounds were issuing from his mouth. He sounded like a feral beast.

Then he saw it, and he froze.

There before him lay his most prized possession. It was set between his atma’s open thighs like a little vertical mouth. Plump, pillowy outer folds surrounded inner frills like petals of flesh. At the top of her slit, inset like a pink pearl, was that nerve bundle that had made her scream and writhe in his arms and a sexy tuft of soft golden fur, more tightly curled than the mane on her head.

“Fuck,” Skal growled. “It’s so fucking beautiful.”

Careful not to catch her with his claws, he peeled her ruffled folds apart to reveal the slippery tissue between. It was smooth and pink, like the inner surface of a conch shell. There were two holes. One was barely a pin prick. The other was hardly bigger.

Was that her mating canal?

Would it expand? It must. How else would he ever fit his tube inside her? How else would he implant his egg in her incubation chamber?

With the pad of his thumb, he circled that tight little hole. His atma squirmed and moaned. Warm, thick fluid drooled from her opening.

I need to smell it

“Skal!”

Katrine cried out in astonishment as Skal buried his face between her spread thighs and inhaled deeply.
