Conclusion

God has for you the hope you can have for your future—hope that will ultimately come to fulfillment in the person of God himself, in Jesus. Of all the many questions you have been asked across the last four or five years, there is none more important than this one: “To whom will you commit your life?”

Maybe success in this thing called life depends not so much on what you are looking for but on whom you are looking to. Note Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” If your eyes are set on Christ, if he is your guiding vision, then you can claim this promise of a future and can move forward from this place with confidence and hope. Remember, this promise is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, our great Savior.

Years ago, the hymn writer put it like this:

Jesus, what a Guide and Keeper!

While the tempest still is high,

Storms about me, night o’ertakes me,

He, my Pilot, hears my cry.
