“Oh my God! That was so much fun even though I fell on my ass so many times,” Kinsley laughed. Eli had taken her ice skating after the coat drive and she enjoyed it.

“You want me to rub it, ma?” he asked seriously.

“Don’t tempt me sir.” She winked at him.

“Come on girl so I can feed you.” Eli grabbed her hand and they headed toward the car. Eli wanted to spend as much time with Kinsley as possible. He was most definitely trying to get that old thing back.

“Ooh, I get food too?” she smiled.

“Baby when you with me, you can have whatever your heart desires,” he told her.

“Well in that case, I want seafood,” she replied.

“Bet. Let’s go.”

Kinsley was enjoying Eli. He was a breath of fresh air and a good distraction from her pending divorce. Not being in love with her soon to be ex-husband made it easy for her to enjoy Eli. That, and the fact that he was familiar. Eli was set on making Kinsley smile. He knew she was going through a divorce and he wanted to be the one to help her heal. He wasn’t rushing her but he was being that friend she needed and hopefully more could come from it. He was getting older and wanted a wife and kids. He knew she had a daughter but he was ready to accept her with open arms.

As they drove toward the seafood restaurant, their conversation flowed effortlessly, and Kinsley was really enjoying him. He was still the same Eli she had dated with a touch of “grown ass man” added to the mix.

As they entered the seafood restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. The aroma of fresh seafood filled the air, making Kinsley's mouth water in anticipation. It made her realize that she hadn’t eaten all day. They were greeted by the hostess and shown to their seats. Eli, being the gentleman he was, pulled out Kinsley's chair for her before taking his own seat.

“Thank you,” Kinsley replied after sitting down.

“You’re more than welcome love.” He smiled at her sending chills through her body. This man was beyond fine. She couldn’t help but wonder what could have been if they had not broken up.

It was safe to say that Kinsley enjoyed their date and now they were headed back to his place being that neither wanted the night to end.
