He was listed on the JuneâDecember 1863 muster roll. He was paroled at Winchester on April 22, 1865. He was a resident of Pleasant Valley, Fairfax County, after the war and died in 1907. He is buried at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Virginia.256
It is likely that Sanders signed Lauraâs album during the sutlerâs raid on November 14, 1863, or as part of Company A, with Willie Mosby, during the first two weeks of September 1864.
