“All right, but let us be quick about it,” Helewise got in. “Or my grandson’s decorum will all but run out before we have the chance.”

Pelham chose to ignore that jab, shaking his head dismissively. He was just glad that Helewise had stopped bullying Frederica.

“Your grandmother sent a note yesterday asking that we meet to discuss the progression of your sister’s match,” Frederica explained, furrowing her brow in concentration.

“Miss Bridges received many compliments from the guests of the mixer. No less than six separate clients have expressed a desire to better acquaint themselves with Miss Bridges. I am currently sorting through these potential matches to determine which, if any, are worth introducing to her. Once I have decided, I am thinking of hosting some sort of dinner for us all. Your sister can then choose which gentlemen she likes best.”
