Temporarily follow a group of people, a topic, or a conversation that is relevant to a specific project or event, without having to subscribe to (and then unsubscribe from) a lot of individual Twitter feeds.

There are three key ways to find interesting lists:

Look at the lists pages of twitterers you admire (https://twitter.com/TheirTwitterHandle/lists/memberships) to see what lists they are on. At least some of those lists will likely be of interest.

Visit your own lists page (https://twitter.com/YourTwitterHandle/lists) to see what lists other people have added you to. (Insert your username where it says “YourTwitterHandle” to get to your lists page.) The odds are good that you’ll want to follow some of them yourself.

Use Google. You can use good old Google to find Twitter lists on topics that interest you by searching for site:twitter.com inurl:lists [your keywords]. For example, to find Twitter lists that bring together the best sources on real estate marketing, you’d Google site:twitter.com inurl:lists real estate marketing.
