Jao was pacing her apartment, she was a ball of nerves. Sleazy would be there at any moment, and she hoped everything worked out in her favor. Her balcony was set up for them to have a candle light dinner. She prepared steaks, potatoes, and asparagus. A bottle of Dom Perignon chilled in a bucket of ice for him.

“Why you look so stressed?” Sleazy asked, creeping up behind her.

“Damn, you scared me. Go wash your hands so we can eat,” she demanded.

“What you cook?” he asked, washing his hands.

She was so in her thoughts she didn’t hear him talking to her. She took their plates outside and sat down to eat. He joined her, removing his lid. His mouth watered at the sight of the juicy T-bone.

“What’s on your mind, Oski?”

“I’m pregnant.”

He didn’t say nothing as he sliced through his steak. He put a piece in his mouth chewing like she hadn’t just told him something that could change both of their lives.

“How?” he finally asked, locking eyes with her.

“What do you mean how?”

“I’m saying how are you pregnant when I always make sure you got a Plan B?”

“I know your stupid ass knows those are not always effective. We past that at this point, so what are we going to do?”

“Get an abortion. I don’t want or need no kids,” he admitted, crushing her.

She wasn’t thrilled to be pregnant at first, especially by a man as insane as Sleazy, but she didn’t know if she wanted to kill her baby either.

“Is it because of who I am?” she asked bitterly.

“I mean, that doesn’t help.”

“So, what is this shit we doing?”

“We fucking. You said it from the beginning I wasn’t your type now you tryna trap a nigga and shit.” He frowned his face in annoyance.

“Trap? Nigga, trap you for what? You don’t do a muthafucking thing for me, for me to want to trap you! Get the fuck out my house!” She stood to her feet, knocking his plate he was so focused on onto the ground.

“Jao you being mad disrespectful right no…” he started.

“I don’t give a fuck! You forced yo’ fucked-up ass in my life and swear I gotta trap you. All I get from you is hard dick and a hard time, you sound just as crazy as yo’ ass is! Don’t worry about it. If I gotta get this lil’ retarded muthafucka outta me myself, I will.”

“Bitch, I’ll help yo’ ass out you keep fucking talking!” He stood with his Glock in his hand.

The barrel of his gun rested on the table as he glared at her. She stared into his eyes as tears slid out the corners of hers. Walking back inside, she headed for her bedroom, closing the door behind her. So she could cry her eyes out. Her family hated her before, but they really hated her now for dealing with Sleazy. She didn’t mean to, but she had fallen in love with the monster that threatened her and it wasn’t nothing she could do about it but move on.
