Tonight is my welcoming feast—our official welcome into the coven, where all the members will come to meet Danny and me. The elders suggested we keep the news about me being the reincarnation of Wynter a secret until the time comes for me to take her place. This way, nothing returns to The Gemini Coven, and my hiding place isn’t blown.

With a deep breath, I leave my bed chambers and meet Danny in the hallway. He looks gorgeous in a white button-up long-sleeve shirt and black dress pants. His signature fauxhawk is artfully styled in that messy way I love. He smiles, drawing my eyes to the lip ring. His eyes rake over my body, sending heat everywhere he looks. This dress is the same one I wore to the club a few days ago. He loved it then, and seeing him devour me with his eyes justifies me wearing it even more. He saunters over to me and slides his hand around to my back, laying his other hand on the top of my chest, barely cupping the base of my throat.

“You look good enough to eat, pretty girl,” he whispers huskily into my ear, sending shivers of pleasure down to my core.

“Is that a promise?” I purr to him while his nose runs along my neck.

“Abso-fucking-lutely.” he growls, sliding his hand down to cup my ass.

He pulls me into him against his hardness. A throat clears, jarring us from the moment. An angry-looking Aiden is glaring at us from the end of the corridor.

“If you two are done fucking, we have a party to be at.” He huffs, walking off and leaving us behind to smile like teenagers who just got caught.

“Come on, pretty girl. Let’s celebrate you coming home.” he winked, lacing his fingers through mine to go down to the ballroom.

When we get to the doors we decide it’s best to keep us secret for the night. This way, we don’t have to answer weird questions about our relationship.

After nothing but junk food and take-out for the last two and a half weeks, seeing the buffet with different meats, veggies, and sides had Danny and me drooling. We still sat together and enjoyed the food, him filling his plate with every available meat with the biggest grin. It was infectious. When we finished eating, we were pulled apart and separated. Both are introduced to other members.

The night is flying by with great food and lots of mingling with the other members. There was dancing, but I couldn’t dance, so I tried to avoid it. Danny, however, had other plans and got me on the dance floor for some slow songs. Feeling his body pressed against mine was a very welcoming feeling. We are supposed to be hiding our relationship, but I feel that thought is slipping further from his head.

Since we went to our rooms before the feast, I didn’t have much time with him to talk things over. We haven’t told the elders about the mating bond.
