Everyone loves a good dip. What’s better to snack on than something you can scoop onto a tortilla chip or carrot stick?! Because I eat mainly plant-based, I’m crazy about beans, and they provide loads of protein and fiber, which are two things I try and track my intake of. Make sure that when and if you buy a can of refried beans, you check the ingredients to make sure that beans are the only thing in there—no added oils, salt, or anything else. To be extra-awesome, try and buy your beans BPA-free. Eden has great refried beans that come in a can that isn’t lined with this chemical. Also, if you’d like to make this recipe entirely vegan, substitute the cheese for Daiya.
