I’ve heard enough. Why did she even go to Bo’s house in the first place? I warned her about him being a mean son of a bitch. I can’t reach her on the phone. Can you let her know that I’ve been trying to call her? I said to Steel.

Steel laughed. “Are you falling in love with my cousin?” I angrily hung up the phone. Hell no, I wasn’t falling in love. I liked her a lot, but that was as far as it went.

“Are you going to start crying because you didn’t get to talk to Bailey?” Ghost chuckled.

“Shut up! I’m not fucking happy right now. Bailey is Izzy’s sister, which makes her Bo’s sister-in-law.”

“That’s wonderful news. That means Bailey has a sister again. She must be so happy.”

“I’m sure she is; if she would answer her damn phone, I could talk to her and find out what’s going on with her.”

“Shake it off,” Ghost said.

“It’s already shaken off. I know we have to go in there and rescue those girls. Reaper overheard them talking and about seven teenage girls are in there, including Stacey Locke. We need to get all of them out before they’re moved. I’m grateful Rebel heard where they were headed; otherwise, we wouldn’t have saved those girls in time.”

“I’m so sick of this sex trafficking of children and women. Our government has allowed the cartel to infiltrate our country. We need to rid the United States of these gangs who think they can take over.”

My thoughts briefly shifted to Bailey. I knew she must be thrilled to discover Izzy was her sister. I hope we finish here before they locate her father, if that’s him. I worried I might be getting too close to Bailey. I needed to step back, especially since she had all of these newfound family members, and she didn’t need me getting in the way.

I addressed the group, “Okay, everyone, stay against the wall. I’ll take care of the guy on the roof, and then we'll enter one by one. Stay to your left and keep a low profile until we reach the third door. That’s where the girls are being held. But if you encounter anyone, don’t take any risks. Protect yourselves.”

We made our way inside, and I heard footsteps. I opened a door and stepped inside the room, and I almost fell on my ass. I found babies sitting and lying on the floor. Where the hell did they get these babies? Damn, what should I do? There were twelve babies in total, some crying, and others looked like they were in shock. I had to act quickly.

I picked up four babies, cautiously cracked the door, and saw no one. I ran outside with some of the babies and straight to our vehicle. I put the kids inside and rushed back for more. I prayed they wouldn’t discover their dead friend on the roof. Ghost startled me when he silently walked up behind me.

“Where did you find these babies?”

“There are eight more in the first room.
