“Call me when you get a chance.” I left a message on Aunt Janet’s phone and placed it on the dashboard. The niggas out here were going to make me fuck them up for real. I didn’t know who they thought they were playing with. I was feeling good and ready to fuck something. I didn’t know that Lisa was in that fucking club. She was feeling the same way, and ole boy got salty when she didn’t want to give up the digits or something. I was going to get the details of everything later on.

“You take shit overboard sometimes man. You can’t be doing shit like that,” Gerald told me. I pulled the visor down to look in the mirror and check my face.

“Fuck you mean? That nigga was all the way disrespectful. You wanted me to sit and watch that shit while the nigga she was with took care of our business?” I responded.

“Man, Sheddrick was not going to let anything happen to Lisa. As you saw, we had it under control,” Gerald told me. My phone started ringing, and Aunt Janet’s number popped up. Gerald looked at it and shook his head.

“I know yo ass ain’t fucking with her like that,” Gerald was disappointed.

“And if I am. Because at the end of the day, I’m a grown fucking man,” I went off but was interrupted.

“Yeah, grown or not we all have suffered from the decisions you make. Be mindful of that shit,” he told me and didn’t speak to me for the rest of the ride home. That was fine because I needed to take care of something.
