Boomerang Frisbee

Players throw the Frisbee boomerang style and run to catch it themselves. The winner is the person who can throw and catch it while covering the most distance.

Frisbee Golf

1 OR MORE PLAYERS

It is easy to set up your own Frisbee Golf Course. To do it, you need 5 to 9 hula hoops or jump ropes. Just walk through a park and set out your hula hoops or loop your ropes to use as golf holes. Make some holes shorter distances than others, and put some holes in challenging spots. To begin, just take your Frisbee and try to throw it into the hole. Keep track of your throws! (This is your score.) Once you succeed in reaching one hole, stand in that hoop to start throwing toward the next one.

Wink

7 TO 25 PLAYERS

INDOORS

An odd number of players are required for this game. One player is chosen to be It, and the rest are divided evenly between Sitters and Guards.

Enough chairs are placed in a circle to allow one chair to each two players and one for the odd player. (That is, one more than half as many chairs as there are players.)

A player sits in each chair, with all players facing inward. Behind each chair stands a second player, who acts as a Guard. There should be one empty chair with a Guard behind it. This odd Guard winks at a Sitter, who at once tries to slip out of his chair without being tagged by his Guard and take his place in the empty chair. If tagged by his Guard before this happens, the Sitter must stay put.

The object of the Guards should be to avoid being the keeper of an empty chair, and therefore the one who has to wink. The Sitters try to evade the vigilance of the Guards by the quickness and unexpectedness of their movements. The Guards must keep their arms hanging at their sides until they see their Sitter has been winked at. They may not dash around the sides of the chairs that they guard, but must stay behind the chair at all times.

While Wink can be played with a time limit (with the “odd Guard out” losing), this is not necessary, as in and of itself the game is quite diverting.

Wolf

This game differs from other hiding games as the searchers are the ones who flee for safety when the hider is discovered!

One player is chosen as the Wolf, who goes off and hides. The rest of the players are Sheep, with one of their number chosen as Shepherd. A place is chosen for a pen where the Sheep must stay and blind their eyes while the Wolf is hiding. The Shepherd counts to fifty and then the Sheep start out. They must all follow their leader, looking for the Wolf in each place where the Shepherd may search for him.

As soon as the Wolf is spied, the Sheep must stand still until the Wolf has taken a jump toward them.
