Chapter 24
Megan watched as her Master walked off with Master Nathan. What did security want with him? Maybe it didnât have to do with her. Master Brad was part of a security team of his own. They probably just wanted his help with something.
Megan turned her attention to her friend and her Dom. Master Jesse was lightly running a finger up and down Kellieâs arm. They looked so comfortable together. And Kellie looked more than happy. A lot has happened with her since the last time we spoke, Megan thought.
Master Jesse was chatting with another Dom. Megan took this opportunity to speak to her friend. âI noticed your apple necklace. So how are things?â Megan spoke just above a whisper. She wasnât entirely sure how Kellieâs Master felt about her speaking without him in the conversation.
Kellie smiled and showed no sign of worry. âIt has been fantastic. In the beginning we had a few mountains to climb but it was worth it.â The subâs smile widened.
âI think the decision to come here was one of our better ones.â Megan giggled and playfully slapped Kellieâs knee.
This got Master Jesseâs attention. He looked over at both girls and frowned. Megan gave him an âIâm sorryâ shrug while Kellie squeezed her Masterâs hand in an attempt to soothe him, to let him know that everything was fine. After giving them both another warning frown, he went back to his conversation.
Megan leaned in. âSorry.â
âNo big deal. He can be very serious but that is one of the things I like about him.â The subâs expression grew slightly sinful.
âAnyway, how is it being claimed?â
âI love it. This necklace tells other Doms and subs that we are in a long-term pairing. Obviously, it is no guarantee of lasting love, butâ¦â Kellie looked down at her lap for a few seconds. âI am safe in the thought that he wants me and will not simply pick up a new sub. And I know he appreciates the symbol warding off potential new Masters.â
Kellieâs naughty smile returned. She then leaned over and pecked Master Jesse on the cheek. He turned and stared at her with slight confusion. That soon faded, however, and he returned the small kiss. When he pulled back he had a smile that looked like it was full of love.
Megan wondered if either of them knew how much they loved each other. Megan also found herself thinking about her own Master and her own apple necklace. Well, it would keep Mia at bay, she thought. She was unaware of her own loving smile that had spread across her lips.
Meganâs mind started to wander but soon she was startled back to the present. Just behind her, Master Bradâs voice boomed and his tone wasnât welcoming.
âMegan, we need to talk. Master Jesse, please excuse us.â
Without waiting for the other manâs response, Master Brad gripped Meganâs arm and helped her to her feet. With a bit of roughness, he pulled her along toward his room. Megan wanted to ask what was wrong but she imagined that he would soon tell her.
