The drive to the club was short, but it didn't stop me from slipping my hand in hers and getting as much physical contact as possible. I'd been craving her fiercely and everything had gotten so fucked up after that shit went down in the garden with Sloane. She seemed to be doing fine, but seeing her laying in her bed lifeless, for hours, had nearly killed me. There were definitely times when I wished I was able to read her, but then I remembered how free I felt being with her, and those wishes faded to nothing.

We pulled into the parking lot of Magic Stixxx, the neon sign all lit up, and the logo was oddly phallic in shape with bursts of color shooting from the end. I'd assumed there'd be some kind of event here tonight, but the parking lot only had one other car, I mean, it was a Wednesday night, but weren’t strip clubs open all hours and days of the week?

Breathing a sigh of relief that I wouldn't have to be surrounded by so many people, Saige's laughter had me casting her a look that said what's so funny?

"Sweet Fischer, did you think I'd really take you on a date to your worst nightmare? A packed club? The only person I want to be around tonight is you." She grinned, and I lifted our hands to my mouth and kissed her knuckles.

"Alright, sweetheart, I'm ready to be wined and dined... or whatever it is you have planned."

She squealed with excitement and flung open her door before I could get my ass over there to open it for her. Saige met me at the front of the car and grabbed my hand, her mood was infectious and I found myself smiling at her enthusiasm.

The double doors were royal purple with studded leather accents and... by the moon, is that velvet? The doors are fucking velvet. What have I gotten myself into here?

"I'm freaking pumped, Fish, I think you're going to love this!" Her heels tapped across the see through plexiglass floor that was lit up underneath with neon dicks and boobs.

"Welcome to Magic Stixxx, where witches, mages, and humans alike can let go of their inhibitions, worries, and stress and let your wildest fantasies come to life!" A booming voice came from above and we looked up toward it. The upstairs was open, a banister running around the large space. The biggest man I'd ever seen in my life appeared at the top of the stairs, which were coincidentally, also purple velvet, and Saige clapped her hands with glee.

"I am Master Rupert, owner of this fine establishment, breaker of hearts, and dance guru." He held his arms out wide magnanimously, his draping purple velvet robe only adding to the effect. Yeah, he literally had a plush cape tied around his neck, the guy had a serious thing for purple velvet.

My eyes widened when I noticed the six inch heels he was sporting walking down the steps
