About two or three months had went by and it was time for them to have Big Red’s trial. When I walked in the court room with Jay holding my hand the hold time, made me feel a little better. Mack was all the way in the back and was trying not to cry when they read off all the charges that Big Red had. I was sure he was going to get life but they gave him 25 years.

That hurt me to the core but there was nothing that I could do but take it and do what he had set for me to do. Mack left the courtroom before I could say anything to him. I know he was taking it hard because Big Red was the only father that he knew, and that goes for me too. I was sure things would be okay if we just followed the plan that we were given.

I stayed with Jay for about two months after the trial. I decided to sell my condo and buy me a house and get a new car. I wanted to start over with everything. A new start that went along with a new way of making money. I knew my life was never going to be the same so a change was what I needed. I bought a four bed room house with two and a half baths, along with a two car garage.

Jay didn’t want me to live alone so he moved in with me. I was thinking about changing my number, but I knew that I couldn’t right now because I was waiting on a phone call to let me know when to start at the club. I couldn’t wait to start this new life and make Big Red proud of me for doing a good job and taking care of business just like he taught me.

A month has gone by and I heard that Domino had gotten knocked off too but the sad part was that her mother had to lock her up. I know that had to be a hard thing to go through for the both of them. About a week later I got a call from this guy name Smooth letting me know that all was good and to meet him at club ‘Just Like Gold’, and then we can go from there. I remembered his name because Domino said he would be the one that would be setting everything up.

Mack and Jay was not cool with me going alone so they came along with me, which was a good thing because Mack was to run the other club, ‘Find Your Diamond’. Being that is was the end of the week Smooth told us that we could start first thing Monday morning.

When Monday came we all met up at ‘Find Your Diamond’ and went over all the paper work and made sure everyone’s’ account was right because there would be direct deposits and no cash. Seems that Domino don’t trust people when it comes to cash.
