To be fair the house was actually pretty nice. There was a television in each room built into the cabinetry, including the kitchen, which was a fun discovery. Speaking of the kitchen, it was stocked with a full fridge and an actual honest-to-God walk-in pantry, fully loaded with mostly local products but a few familiar brands too. There were four bathrooms, two en suite, with these massive showers and a stand-a-lone tub she was very tempted to slip into and submerge herself for the next month. He didn't tell her which was her bedroom, as there were five of them, so she chose the one en suite furthest away from the door he'd disappeared behind.

It was large with a walk-in closet, mirrored dresser, and a king size bed covered with pillows.

She could go anywhere in the house and do anything. The doors were open. She could leave if she wanted to. She could. But where would she go? What would she do?

She moped, helplessly, for three days. Aidan stayed out of her way. The house wasn't big enough to play hide and seek and yet somehow they managed it. She only exited her room when it was clear he was locked behind his own bedroom door and vice versa. But now it has been three days and most of her desolation has dried up. There were only so many tears a person could cry before they were wrung out. It was time for a plan. In the morning she would try playing nice. It was something new at least, what could it hurt?
