I sat in the parking lot of the Cumberland Mall waiting for my new best friend to pull up while trying to figure out my next move. Enzi wasn’t the only nigga in the streets that had the raw. “Hello…” I said into the receiver of my phone after it had rung.

“Yea, where are you? I’m here,” she said, and I looked around trying to see if I could spot her car.

“I know you see this big, red ass G-Wagon,” I told her once I spotted her driving through the lot.

“No…oh yea, I see you,” she giggled before hanging up on me.

CiCi pulled her Toyota right next to mine, and then hopped out right after she parked. I unlocked the door and waited for her to get inside. Since we had kicked it the other night, I had been on her line heavily, tryna get all the way into this little friendship we had going on. Listening to her, lil baby was kinda smart. She had a lot of sense and seemed to be far from the duck that I had thought previously.

“Hey…” CiCi said as she got inside of the car and closed the door.

“Waddup, blood?” I asked her, and quickly leaned over and kissed her lips before she could stop me. I couldn’t help it. “You a’ight?”

“…yea, I am. How are you? Heard you went by my mom’s earlier. You went to see Madden?” she questioned, and I didn’t miss the jealousy.

“I went to talk to Madden. Tryna figure out what she got going on. I don’t know how I feel about her living up in your shit like that, especially after you got put out.”

“I told you it was cool, Ledge. I ain’t even worried about her. Just gonna get my shit together so I can get my sister them and that’s it. My mama calling me talking shit to me, saying I’m wrong for fucking you and all that. I don’t even know where they got that from.”

I chuckled, and Cioni looked at me like I was tweaking. I leaned over and kissed her lips again when she pushed me away. Instead, I sucked on her earlobe and then kissed her neck. She tried to move away again, but this time, I pulled her close to me, and kept sucking on her little sweet ass until I couldn’t take it anymore.

“It’s not funny, Ledge. We’re just friends, and now you got them thinking that it’s more than that when it isn’t.”

“Man fuck them and what they think. I ain’t said shit to nobody. Your little sister told them they saw me at the furniture store and they ran with their own thoughts.
