Chapter Fourteen

MARIE

Draggar's dirty pep talk got me moving up the rocky steps carved out of the side of the cliff. My fear of heights left behind with the promise of him finding us a hiding place where he would—and I quote—devour my cunt until I begged him to stop.

We were in a life and death situation, then again, ever since I crash-landed on this silver planet, when had I not been?

So, I thought it fitting, after all the scary shit I had managed to live through, to adopt a new motto. Take pleasure whenever I could and as much of it as I could get. And Draggar was more than willing to make that happen.

He liked to eat pussy, so who was I to deny him that pleasure.

When he pressed me against the ridge of his erection, my belly tightened with a lick of heat. It seemed the longer I denied him, the more and more I craved to have him inside me.

There was more to this yearning than lust. Something wild culminated under my bones. Something hot and feral. It stirred and pressed against my sternum, aching to be let loose.

It was a burning need I couldn't explain. It went beyond sex. Beyond the lifeline of safety Draggar extended.

The whole of my being wanted him. I wasn't sure how much longer I could hold back this overpowering desire to become one with him.

I suppressed the urge to kiss the ground when we finished our climb. I stuck to Draggar like glue as we ducked behind a large rectangular structure and glanced back in the direction we came from. I nearly fell over.

Like a giant crystal rising from the ground, the palace threatened to touch the clouds. The walls of the imposing skyscraper sparkled in the twin suns that warmed us from above. It was a multifaceted jewel set among smaller white buildings surrounding its base.

In the center of the city sat a circular fountain worthy of the wealthiest Las Vegas casino. Streams of sparkling water shot high into the air.

"Atlantis," I murmured. That's what the city of Huren looked like. At least what I imagined the lost city of Atlantis looked like. It was a damn shame I didn't have a camera. I'd love to show all the girls once we joined them at the caverns.

I turned back to find Draggar's head cocked to one side. His pointed ears twitched and swiveled as he listened to something beyond my auditory capacity.

He made a motion of talking with his hand and pointed to the wall of the structure behind where we were crouched.

He waved me forward. We kept low, and I followed him to a vent embedded in the wall. We peered through the slats and—

Holyfuckingshit! Parked inside was an alien spacecraft. Black as sin, the hull was shiny yet reflected none of the Valosian's milling around it.

Panels had been removed from various areas around the outside to reveal the inner workings. They appeared to be repairing it. Off to one side sat a smaller, not as impressive example of spacecraft.
