The backbone network includes infrastructural nodes for interdomain communication. It uses bandwidth routers and local area network to pass on the information among various domains. The backbone network also uses the line technology such as optical fiber and SCADA system for high-speed communication and monitoring of operation, transmission and distribution domains.
