Chapter Thirteen

RIPP

It can’t be. The universe doesn’t work like this. Not for me. The girl, who burst into the clinic like a hurricane, is her my sleeping beauty dream goddess. The one I’ve thought of nonstop for weeks now. It’s as if I’ve manifested her presence. Only what the fuck am I supposed to do now?

If Jake or Kess were here, maybe this moment would be salvageable. They could smoothly introduce the three of us, and we could all have a laugh about the small world NOLA can be, despite being a metro of over a million people. Kess could be the smooth talker he is and entice her back to Club Sin for another perfect night. Jake could impress her with intense stories of fights we’ve been in.

Then it wouldn’t matter so much she’s bound to be disappointed to meet me with her eyes open. They could take the attention off my stumbling and fumbling. If she gave them a chance, maybe I could be part of it, too. Like a package deal.

“Ripp?” My name, the first word my beauty says to me, sounds sweeter than anything I’ve ever heard. She moves across the room to stand in front of me.

The barbell is still on the floor at my feet, and it’s the only thing between us. I clench my hands into fists to keep from reaching for her. My fingers twitch with the memory of running them through her hair. Using them to touch her girl parts. Feeling her slippery cum smeared all over them with a perfume I’d gladly drown in.

“Um, y-yeah. Th-that’s me.” Fucking stutter is so embarrassing.

“Gorgeous,” she says, simply.

Did the oxygen in the room get vacuumed out? The single word, spoken with such sincerity, has me dizzy with shock and happiness.

“M-Megan, right?”

Her eyes snap to mine and darken to navy with lust. I’ve watched girls eye-fuck Jake enough times to know what it looks like. I just never anticipated seeing such a hungry look directed at me.

“How did you know my name?” She tilts her head quizzically, and it’s so adorable I want to put her in my pocket and carry her with me forever.

“C-C-Cason c-called you that.”

Her smile dims at the reminder I’m here for a reason other than tracking her down.

Now, I wish I’d found my balls weeks ago and tracked her down through the club. Surely, somebody there would have helped us get in touch. That is, if she’d be interested in that. Watching her watch me, I have to believe she is.
