CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Sunday morning, training over and it’s time for church. Now I know we have a lot to cover, so this could be a long one. I’ve a bottle of water to take in with me, and my ledger that I keep for reports I give in church. That way I’m always able to see at a glance when I report on something, and no one can call me out for not having all information on hand.

Taking my seat, I place the ledger in front of me and look at BS, who is sitting with his tiny notepad and pencil in front of him. I can’t stop the smirk that crosses my face because honestly, you’d think we had a kid in here playing dollhouse.

“Fuck off,” BS mumbles when he notices my smirk, but it just has the smirk turn into a full-blown smile. “You’re an asshole.”

“I know,” I reply, but with not an ounce of remorse.

Buzz walks in next, followed by Wings. They take their places and looking around, I think we are all here apart from Axel and Drag. It’s only a few minutes before they both walk in and take their places.

Axel slams the gavel down and opens the meeting. “Anything to report on businesses?”

Nobody comments, so it appears everyone is happy enough with how things are running business-wise. I have no problems with the business financials, so I remain quiet as well.

“Okay. We now have a new baby in the club. Silver and Eden’s son, Harrison O’Brien. He weighed in at a nice 8lb 2oz, bald as his ass, too,” Axel grins at his own comment.

“How’s Eden?” Mav asks.

“Oh, she’s fine, but we can’t say that for Silver,” Axel throws his head back, laughing. “She grabbed Silver’s balls when he was standing next to her for the last pushes to get Harrison out and he ended up on the floor, holding himself before passing out.”

Foot stomps and fists banging on tables show everyone’s delight that the baby was born with no issues, Eden being good, but laughing at Silver’s dilemma because it seems he’s walking like he has a bucket between his legs.

“Okay, settle down, let’s get to some serious shit.” Axel looks around the room, pointing at Sting first. “What’s going on with you and Lily?”

“Nothing. I thought she may be the one to be my Ol’ Lady, but it’s not gonna happen. She’s too busy with her business for relationships, so I’m moving on and looking at what or who else may be available. But I’m not looking too hard, I have to admit.” Sting, we all know was taken with Lily and being rejected hit him hard. I hope he finds someone worthy and, although I like Lily, I find her a bit on the selfish side. Maybe that’s because Sting is my brother and I don’t want to see him hurt.

“Sorry it didn’t work out, brother. But, sometimes it’s for the best. We just don’t realize it at the time.”
