STONEY

OCEAN REEF… A COUPLE DAYS LATER

After Schizo and I kissed on the yacht, I had been trying my best to stay away from him. I had been doing a lil too much drinking and let my emotions get the best of me. Honestly, I think I had been hiding ’cause I didn’t want to get my feelings bruised when he lashed out on my ass for making a move on him. I was terrified to face him, but it had come to the day that I didn’t have much of a choice but to be in the same place with him.

The next activity on the list was wine tasting. I tried my best to talk Doll out of wanting to go, but if it had drinking involved, she definitely was gon’ be there.

I paced the living room, waiting for her to come out. With me already not wanting to go, I was seconds away from going back into the room and climbing back in bed. Lying there with the covers over my head sounded so nice right about now.

Doll finally exited the room rocking this cute ass orange, split-front, backless halter top and denim shorts. Her hair was parted down the middle in large spiral curls. Her face was glowing, and I loved that for her. The last four years of her life were snatched away from her and I remembered how sad she used to be when I first started to visit her in prison. Her bounce back was crucial and I was here for it.

“Why you looking at me like that?” she asked when she grabbed her phone off the counter in the kitchen.

“You’re glowing. I love that for you, sis.” The corner of her mouth quirked.

“Thanks, now let’s go get drunker than a fuck.”

“You already sound drunk.” I snickered.

“Oh, I ain’t there yet.”

Gripping me by the hand, she exited the suite. We made our way to the beach where they were hosting the wine tasting. The first person I saw was Schizo hugged up with Kaylan. It ground my gears to know that she was possibly cheating on him and he didn’t have the slightest clue.

The beach was decorated so beautifully for the wine tasting. There were a few tables with white tablecloths on ’em. Instead of regular chairs, they used barstools. Red and white rose vines dangled from the roof of the tent. On one table was every finger food you could imagine along with all types of fruit. On another table they had all sorts of wine glasses filled with wine. How I acted on the yacht, I knew I wasn’t ’bout to do that much drinking.

Doll immediately went over to the table with the wine and instantly turned a glass up. I lingered by the fruit tray and popped grapes in my mouth.

“I’ve been watching you ever since we got here,” a masculine voice said alongside me, and I jumped.

“You sound like a stalker.” I tooted my lips, and he chortled. He was handsome as hell.
