Second through Fourth Paragraphs—Body

Each of these paragraphs is identical in structure and description, though each will contain separate topics and details describing the topics. These are the only paragraphs in the paper where specific details are provided.

Sentence 1—Topic Statement—Take the subtopics of sentences 2-4 of the first paragraphs and write position statements about them in order. Each of these position statements will contain a subtopic from the introductory paragraph and an adjective summarizing a position or feeling about that subtopic. These three statements will be the thesis statements of paragraph 2-4 respectively.

Sentences 2-4—Description—Break down the thesis statement of the paragraph into three parts (minimum) and describe each separately in at least one sentence (beginners should stick to a single sentence).

Sentence 5—Transition—One sentence relating the descriptive sentences 2-4 with the claim (adjective) of sentence 1.
