Ord and his wife Irma spent many happy years living at Oak Grove; their home was always open to friends and family who came to visit. Irma’s cooking, especially her pies, was always offered and the coffee pot was always hot with cowboy coffee.

Ord passed away in a Visalia hospital February 21, 1976, after a bout with the flu and pneumonia. He had lived 90 years, all of it extremely full and interesting; much of his life still remains untold and hopefully, soon to be written. Ord’s wife Irma passed away December 29, 1990; she is buried beside the love of her life, Ord Loverin, in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
